From the Youth Pastor

Greetings from Myrtle Beach FBC Family,
Thank you to everyone who helped make VBS 2017 a smashing success. I heard from the Apostle Paul and he was really blessed by all of the children who came to visit him and learn from him.
This week I am enjoying some vacation at the beach but I am also preparing for my visit to Germany and Switzerland. I will be gone for about two weeks and will be studying about the Reformation. This year is the 500th anniversary of when Protestant believers (that’s you and I) broke away from all of the religion and oppression of the Catholic Church at that time. Now we take for granted that we can pray in Jesus’ name at any moment and have the attention of God Almighty. We forget that many of the reformers died brutal agonizing deaths to make sure we knew we can never earn God’s love, but it is a gift simply received by faith alone.
Anyway, sorry to preach, but I’m excited! Please pray for our safety in travels and for Amanda and the girls as they will be without me for several days.
I also ask you to pray for youth camp. It will be here before you know it.

The Best is Yet to Come,

Daniel
