From the Youth Pastor

Hello FBC Friends and Family,
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I had such a good time honoring our graduates this past Sunday and I look forward to watching many of you walk on Friday. It’s the last week of school, so finish strong!
The ice cream social was delicious and a great time, too. Thank you to Margaret and the children’s ministry! And Dr. Purcell’s message yesterday was very timely. After a reminder from God and James the previous week that our faith is to be a faith that works and obeys, I was excited to hear God expand on that idea. We all have a role to play here at FBC. If you do not already know what your spiritual gift is then I encourage you to find out. Contact the church office and we can help you find how God has gifted you and how He wants to use you here. You may even be the one God is waiting on to start up a ministry that we don’t even have yet.
For the summer, the youth will switch our Wednesday meetings to Sunday nights, starting on June 10. We’ll have some snacks, fellowship, and study God’s Word together. I’m calling it The Well. In the busyness and different routines of summer, The Well will provide a place for our youth to spiritually refresh themselves and stay strong during the break.
The youth have a lock-in on Friday, June 1, and it’s going to be awesome! If your students are in town then make sure they are here. They won’t want to miss it.Our summer camp to Panama City Beach will be June 26-30.

The Best is Yet to Come.
