Children’s News

Our yard sale was a big success! Thank you to all who generously donated and those who shopped, too! Camp is costly, but the rewards are worth the money. It costs $319 to send one child or one chaperone to CentriKid for 4 nights/5 days. That includes all the meals and all the activities. This will be our third year at CentriKid and I get excited every year. Camp gives me a chance to fellowship with the kids and the chaperones in ways I can never do the other weeks of the year. CentriKid does an amazing job of connecting Scripture to all the activities and they also provide adult worship times for our chaperones.
Please be in prayer for our children and chaperones as we prepare to go to camp in less than 4 weeks. Pray for hearts to be opened to receive the message. We have 37 attending this year.
We will go see “Trolls” at Cinemark this Wednesday at the $1 movie. We will also go to Noble Park after the movie so bring a lunch.
CPR training will be on July 17 and July 24 from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided at 5:00 p.m. Let me know if you would like to sign up.
Be in prayer for the upcoming church year as teacher positions and committee positions will begin to be filled. I was listening to Focus on the Family the other day and the guest was talking about gifts. She said “your gifts don’t age”. If you used to teach Sunday School, but it has been many years ago, that gift hasn’t aged! We would love to have you in children’s ministry and I know Daniel would love to have you in youth ministry. Pray about how God can use you and the gifts He has given you in the upcoming year.

Upcoming dates:
Cinemark(Trolls)/Noble Park – June 21
CentriKid – July 11 – 15

Have a great week!
