Children’s News

This Sunday was one I will look back on with joyful memories!  Three baptisms in the early service, back to school blessings in both morning services, a day full of lake fun and six lake baptisms.  Praise God!  Thank you, Bro. Mark, for baptizing all these today.  They gave you a workout!  Days like today make everything worth it.  Thank you to all the children’s ministry volunteers who have given of your time and talents to sow the seeds.  It may not seem like much, but it is and it matters!

Back to School prayer walk will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.  Meet us in the church parking lot.  We will open with prayer and then split into teams to cover the schools in prayer.

Parents Who Fight is this Sunday, August 12, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.  We need volunteers for child care for the night.  We need volunteers to help in the nursery as well as help with activities for the older children in the gym.  Please let me know if you can help.  If you have already volunteered, I will be contacting you this week with more details.

Awana kick-off is August 29.  Animal Tales will be hosting our kickoff this year!  You will have a chance to register that night and get information about the upcoming year of Awana.

We are needing some volunteers to help in special areas of Awana this year.  If you can’t commit as a weekly volunteer but could help for special occasions or as a fill-in, please let me know.  We are looking into some new ways of outreach for Awana and we need your help with that, as well.  Be in prayer for how you might be able to be a part of this ministry.

Have a great week!
