margaret siress

Children's minister

Margaret Siress has served as Children’s Minister at FBC Benton since 2011.  Margaret is a graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Chemistry, and used that degree for many years in Calvert City.  However, God had other plans for her future and called her into the ministry of serving children and families.  Margaret enjoys every minute she has engaging and leading children, volunteers and families into a closer relationship with God.  Margaret is married to Jeff, who also is a chemist.  They have two children - Maidie, a student at Murray State University, and Kiefer, a student at Marshall County High School..  Margaret loves to travel, and all things Mickey Mouse!

Stuart Terry has been with Benton FBC since September 2022.  Stuart is a

graduate of Belmont University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has served churches in Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois.  His passion is sharing Christ through music and worship.  Stuart is married to his wife, Pam, who works for a CPA firm in Paducah.  They have two grown children: Anna and Nathan; three grandchildren (Evylee, Kenzlee and Nate) and their Beagle, Charlee.  He loves to read, watch sports and drink good coffee.

Christina joined our staff in November 2015. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Lance, since October 2002. They have four children, one son, Dalton, and three daughters, Karsyn, Macyn, and Camryn. With four kids, they live a busy life with little down time. When they are not at the soccer field, they love to travel.

Marisa Smith has been with FBC staff since February 2020 but has been a member at FBC for 32 years.  Marisa grew up in Graves County in the small town of Farmington where her roots were planted in Christ at First Baptist Church Farmington.  She was self-employed for 38 years as a bookkeeper for two businesses and 10 years in a doctor’s office.  Marisa and her family moved to Benton in 1986.  She has two daughters, Brandi and Bridget, and one granddaughter Kinleigh.  Marisa enjoys crafting, painting, DIY projects, camping, flea markets and being outdoors.
