Margaret Siress has served as Children’s Minister at FBC Benton since October 2011. Margaret is a graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Chemistry, and used that degree for many years in industry. However, God had other plans for her future and called her into the ministry of serving children and families. Margaret enjoys every minute she has engaging and leading children, volunteers and families into a closer relationship with God. Margaret is married to Jeff, who also is a chemist. They have two children - Maidie, who attends Murray State University, and Kiefer, who attends Marshall County High School. Margaret loves to travel, and all things Mickey Mouse!

We thank God for children and the opportunity we have to teach them at FBC Benton. We want them to feel loved, and have happy church experiences as they grow. We take seriously our privilege and responsibility to provide quality Bible-teaching and a safe learning environment at FBC Benton.
All of our volunteers have completed background checks and we have a policy of two adult volunteers in every classroom.
About our ministry
Each week, we have programs for all ages at FBC Benton. We have a full Sunday morning schedule with children's church, Sunday School and nursery. We also have Awana for our MidWeek.
In addition, there are numerous activities throughout the year at FBC Benton for our children, from VBS to Summer Camp, Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat and many more.
Our prayer is that you and your family will have many happy and rewarding experiences through your involvement in the children’s ministry here at FBC Benton and that you will see the lives of children and their families transformed as they experience the love of Christ.

Nursery is provided for all children ages birth - 4 years old. Our nursery is located in the preschool hallway in the Activities Building.

AWANA
Awana meets each Wednesday night during the school year, 6:15 - 7:30 p.m.
Awana is for ages 2 years old - 5th grade.
